Routine Stop Yields Results For SAPS

Bravo to Edenvale sector team! Their hardworking efforts paid off by arresting four suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunitions, possession of stolen motor vehicles and stolen property.

On 2018.08.09 when members were about to report off duty from their long working day. While busy patrolling they were doing their last stop and search after they stopped two white bakkies, an Isuzu bakkie and Nissan hardbody.

Upon searching the four suspects, two firearm pistols with numbers filed off was found on two of the suspects. They arrested a 33 and a 45 year old suspect for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The isuzu bakkie they were driving was also found to be a suspected stolen vehicle
in a Johanesburg Central case. In the Nissan bakkie they found House Breaking implements and arrested two young men of between 23 to 30 years.

On further investgation the suspects from the Isuzu bakkie were found to have pending cases in Eldorado park for possession of suspected stolen property due to appear in Soweto court on 14 August 2018 and possession of stolen property and due to appear on the 13 August 2018 in Kliptown court.

Another suspect had an outstanding case for Business robbery due to appear in court on 13 August 2018.

These suspects may be linked to more recent cases, they seem to be on the rampage terrorising innocent law abiding citizens. Good work by Edenvale sector team members.
