Bedfordview CPF Mask Initiative Yields Over 6000 Masks For Those In Need

The Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (CPF) has announced that its mask initiative, which took place during April, has been a success, with over 6000 masks having been made by community members and distributed to various organisations/facilities in need. They exceeded their target by over 4000 masks.

The lucky draw for the Singer Sewing Machine took place on 30 April 2020. The final couple of hours saw Masketeers racing to get their masks finished and delivered to the drop off points so that they could be counted in their final numbers and get additional entries in the draw. Bedfordview CPF thanks Lorien Szokola from Singer SA for sponsoring this prize, which was won by Voula Christelis.

Bedfordview CPF will continue with their mask initiative for the month of May 2020 and they have a new lucky draw for their Masketeers to participate in. The prize for this has been donated by Masketeer, Jennie Smith. The prize is a weekend away at the Bakubung Bush Lodge Gold Crown Resort in Pilansberg – a mere 2.5 hour drive from Bedfordview.

Bedfordview CPF wishes luck to all their Masketeers and hopes they set a new record high number of masks. Those that would still like to participate in the initiative can email Alison Grobbelaar on for the link to join the WhatsApp group.
