Bedfordview SPAR and TOPS has donated R10,000 to Better Bedfordview for equipment, as well as R2000 a month to assist with Better Bedfordview’s monthly costs.
In addition, Bedfordview SPAR has offered to sponsor new uniforms and high visibility vests for the Better Bedfordview clean-up team.
Better Bedfordview is a Residents Action Group (RAG) initiative that strives to keep the suburb clean and to unite and uplift the community. Their clean-up team consists of previously unemployed men who sweep, tidy, weed, trim, paint, prune, plant, pave and pick up litter – working hard to keep the suburb looking beautiful despite poor municipal service delivery.
