Eastgate and Krispy Kreme asked the public to pledge to bake cupcakes or support the Cupcake Day 4 Kids initiative by making a R10 donation for a delicious cupcake made with love on 28 September 2019.
The National Cupcake Day 4 Kids With Cancer is an initiative by Cupcakes of HOPE, a community-driven charity that gets everyone to ‘bake’ a difference in the lives of children with life-threatening diseases. They do this through their love of baking and enjoying cupcakes. The initiative, held at 88 malls across the country, raised R2.1 million for children with cancer.
Non-bakers are encouraged to bake a virtual cupcake on http://bit.ly/BakeADifferenceDefy, and share this virtual cupcake on Social media using #BakeADifference. Defy will also make a donation towards the cause. The public can support the cause by baking either real or virtual cupcakes and keep on sharing on social media using #BakeAdifference. This campaign ends on 18 October 2019.
