Winners of the Miss Junction 21 contest, held on 5 June at Junction 21 Indoor Market, walked away with amazing prizes, including: cash, set of nails, cosmetics, hair cuts and blow waves, meals, food vouchers and discounts, costume jewellery and evening tops, soft toys, bath salts and bubble bath, flowers and bouquets, photography, modelling sessions and more.
The event brought glitz and glamour to Boksburg. Contestants strutted their stuff and gave it their all to impress the prestigious judges, all in a bid to be crowned the winner and first and second princesses in various age categories, as well as represent the East Rand.
Judges included: current Miss Johannesburg Chanel Engelbrecht; Sir Elite South Africa Tylor Kotzé; Lourdes Holder, who has won various titles and has almost 9 years of modelling experience; Bianca Birnie, African Queen Foundation ambassador and Godfrey Matenchi from Less Ordinary Piece, a tenant at Junction 21 that sells art pieces and antiques.
Besides watching the talented contestants, the crowd was entertained by various acts, including 10-year-old Boksburg singer Zehan Venter, and they could shop at the stalls of various tenants, who provided delicious food, unique gifts, stylish fashion, hair and nail services and more.
