To assist in mitigating the shortfall in finances, the Bedfordview Community Police Forum (BCPF) together with Unity Values have developed a donations platform that allows residents to donate to the BCPF.
The impact that Covid-19 placed on the BCPF’s ability to run fundraising initiatives has been severe. They are under tremendous pressure to maintain the structures that have been put in place to reduce crime in the neighbourhood, in particular their LPR Camera Network. The website has information on the forum’s initiatives, general BCPF information, security tips and more.
The BCPF is appealing to the community to support this initiative which, if successful, will enable them to maintain the existing LPR Camera Network (comprising of 43 cameras) as well as be able to grow it in areas of need.
The cost for licencing per camera per month is R550. All contributions towards the costs would be most welcome. Donations are tax deductible and a Section 18A Tax Certificate will automatically be generated by the system. Community members can donate here.
