The competition is open to artists who are 5-19 years old and is a chance for students in and around Bedfordview to showcase their art skills. Entrants stand a chance to win incredible prizes from Bedford Centre and PNA for themselves and their school.

Those who are between the ages of 17-19 can walk away with a R30,000 bursary sponsored by Oakfields College. Also, if you are in the top 3 of your age category, you will be a part of the Bedford School Art Competition Exhibition.

Here is what you need to do:
1) Find your free entry form at the Bedford Centre Info Kiosk or email:
2) Create an art piece on the A3 entry page with the theme, ‘Come Home To Bedford’.
3) Include the Bedford Centre logo in your artwork.
4) Submit your entry by 6pm on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 to the Bedford Centre Info Desk.

There will be five categories divided into the following age groups: Primary School (5-7, 8-10, 11-13 years old) and High School (14-16 and 17-19 years old).

The entries will be judged by a selected panel of judges from The Art Window, Bedford Centre Management and independent local artists. The top 3 entries of each category will be exhibited in Bedford Centre from 22-29 October 2021, where the public will be able to vote for their winner. Winners of each category will receive various prizes, including a Bedford Centre voucher to the value of R1000 each.
