Better Bedfordview is making a noticeable difference in the area. They have been cleaning, tidying, planting, painting and fixing potholes. They have also demanded answers from the municipality on the ongoing water leaks in the area.
They are proud of the improvements they have made at the intersection of Van Buuren, Townsend and Riley Roads. ‘Well done and thank you to the Better Bedfordview team, including the dedicated volunteers on our gardening committee. A big thank you must also go to St Andrews School and landscaper Warren Manson for helping and donating plants,’ said a statement from Better Bedfordview.
Better Bedfordview Best Pavements Competition 2022
Entries have closed for the 2022 Better Bedfordview Best Pavements Competition. This is one of the stunning pavements that is in line to win one of this year’s great prizes, including a night’s accommodation and breakfast for two at The Fat Mermaid, meals at Adega Bedfordview and Vini’s and hair treatments at Franco International at Village View and Eastgate.
This is the third year of the competition and it is going from strength to strength. Once again, the organisers are looking for pavements that look pretty and neat and are contributing to uplifting the area. You can see more of the entries and nominees on Better Bedfordview’s Facebook page.
Fundraising golf day was a huge success
Better Bedfordview thanks everyone who made the first Better Bedfordview Fundraising Golf Day at Glendower Golf Club a huge success.
First place, and the fantastic prize of the Fancourt Ultimate Escape Package, sponsored by Horsepower Computing, went to Andrea de Cecco and Rajiv Gosai.
Shemer Jewellers donated their awesome raffle prize, a TAG Heuer watch valued at R24,000. It was won by Warren Lombard.
