Eastgate hosted The Recycle Rangers Fashion event from 24 – 27 October at the Aloe Court, where all shoppers got to see and make fashionable items from recycled material that Eastgate has collected; like plastic bottles, bottle tops and straws. From fashion design to stylish accessories, it was all done in an eco-friendly and eco-fashionable way.
This event is in line with ‘Eastgate Vision 2020: It’s time to get serious about the planet.’ As of 2020, Eastgate Mall will no longer be using any plastic shopping bags. So the event was one of the fun initiatives to help save the world by keeping as much plastic out of the oceans and landfills as possible.
