Foodie Review: Grand Slam Sports Diner Café

Foodie Review Grand Slam Sports Diner Cafe

Master foodie Vis Naidoo visited this new café, an addition to the Grand Slam Sports Diner, which is another option for a meeting with friends or as a spot to work from. They have great morning coffee and exciting breakfast options.

‘We were greeted and served by Donovan, who oversees the café, is the barista and is a lovely young man who loves what he does. He explained the food in detail and I suggest asking him for recommendations if you are not sure what to eat.

I had the Grande Flat White coffee, which I loved. My guests enjoyed the sweet hot chocolate, creamy latte, fresh scones and chocolate muffin. I opted for the Pulled Pork Baguette, which I really enjoyed. The fresh and tasty pulled pork meat in a lovely sauce, with caramelised onions and the right hint of thyme in-between a fresh and crisp baguette was a treat for breakfast.

They also have a lovely counter top area against the window where you can sip on your latte and bang away on your laptop keyboard. Or you can just chill on the comfy lounge area and catch up with friends.’

Address: Corner of Elm Street and Sycamore Drive, Dowerglen, Edenvale.
