Now before this becomes a conscious practice, we first have to understand a little more about connection. According to the Collins Dictionary, ‘A connection is a relationship between two things, people, or groups’.
I’ve expanded the above definition to include: a relationship between the inanimate and animate, the seen and unseen, and Spirit/God/Source/The Universe.
When looking at human connection, Brené Brown describes it as: ‘I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.’
Martin Luther King Jr. had this to say about spiritual connection: ‘It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, affects all indirectly.’

Here are some signs to look out for that may indicate a disconnection from your true essence and Spirit/Source/The Universe: stress, anxiety, relationship issues, money issues, health issues, emotional issues and bad judgements. An open heart helps us to connect with total strangers.
Love fosters connection. Fear fosters isolation and disconnection. Love underpins all our relationships, without love, there is no connection. Love is the magical essence that brings all of creation together.
