Bird & Co Bedfordview, located at Bedford Village Shopping Centre, provided lunches from Monday to Friday for the Better Bedfordview clean-up team during April and is continuing this initiative until the end of May.Â
RAG’s Better Bedfordview initiative strives to clean and uplift the area. They depend on support and donations from caring, community-spirited residents and businesses, like Vassilis Rameas, owner at Bird & Co Bedfordview.
‘During mid-March, Marina Constas and Simona Panter from RAG came into my shop. After explaining what RAG – as well as its new community initiative, Better Bedfordview – is about, they definitely caught my attention,’ said Rameas. ‘I also wanted to try and participate somehow, understanding the greater good that would come out of this and that it would not be focused only on a few individuals, but a whole community. We should all be very thankful for people like Constas and Panter, who take time out of their own lives to improve our community.’
