The Salvation Army Strathyre Girls Home in Kensington is seeking support in the form of gift vouchers from Pick’n Pay, Checkers, Hyperama, Spar, Shoprite etc. and mostly financial assistance.
Strathyre’s provide a secure, caring and loving home environment within which the childrens’ past hurts are addressed and a spirit of hope is nurtured. To actively prepare the girls for life after the home, Strathyre’s focuses on providing academic support, facilitating life skills, providing career orientation and work experience and a diverse and stimulating activity programmes.
Should you wish to donate some items, you can bring them to the home (or the home can collect). An 18a Tax Certificate slip can be filled in upon delivery of the items. The home is located at 113 111th Avenue, Kensington.
