Easter Chocolate Festival Entertains Visitors And Supports Small Businesses

The Junction 21 Easter Chocolate Festival delighted visitors with decadent displays, unique gifts and entertainment. Crowds gathered in the food court to watch top chefs Nicolas van der Walt and Melissa Doubell demonstrate how to make spectacular chocolate showpieces, chocolate pavlovas and chocolate moulded Easter eggs. The chefs also treated attendees to mouth-watering samples and chocolate goodies.

The Freeway Jeug Band had visitors jamming along and gospel singer Cathy Viljoen enthralled with her stunning vocals. The many visitors who came through could also sample the delicious treats from various vendors, as well as browse the Easter themed succulents, fashion, unique gifts, nail art, homeware, fragrances, great coffee, curios and more from the local business owners.

The festival also provided great entertainment for kids, who expressed themselves with creative crafts like Easter egg painting at the Jungle Junction Kids Corner, sponsored by The Crazy Store. There was also a balloon sculptor and magic show to keep them busy, an airbrush tattoo artist, as well as the Easter Bunny, who handed out Easter eggs sponsored by Beacon.

Beacon also sponsored the delicious prize at the entrance – a box filled with their delicious marshmallow eggs – which was won by Tamsin Knowles. She was the closest in guessing how many eggs were inside the box.

Next up is Mother’s Day, which Junction 21 will be celebrating in style. More details about the exciting activities taking place and how you can spoil your Mom will be available soon on Junction 21’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
