Entries Are Open For Boroughs Of Bedfordview Run

Bedfordview Athletics Club has announced the Boroughs of Bedfordview Run, powered by Afrihost. Entries are open for the 15km and 5km run, which takes place in Bedfordview on Sunday 25 September 2022 on the Heritage Day weekend.

This timed event is limited to 2000 15km entries and is on the Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) calendar. The first 1000 15km entries will receive an Afrihost technical running T-shirt.

The club will also host a 5km fun run in support of the Bedfordview community and the net proceeds from this event will be donated to Better Bedfordview.

‘It was launched last year as a hybrid-virtual event and we are delighted that it is on the race calendar this year. It is a great opportunity to get out of winter hibernation and run through the undulating ‘Boroughs’ of Bedfordview. Combined with an awesome T-shirt, this should inspire you to hit the road,’ said Gerald Yapp, Chairman of Bedfordview Athletics Club.

Afrihost is once again the title sponsor of the event. ‘We had a lot of fun last year, but this year the Boroughs of Bedfordview Run is going to be even bigger and better. We have fun surprises planned throughout the route, plus there will be spot prizes, so don’t miss out,’ said Conrad de Beer, Brand Creative Manager of Afrihost.

The event will be hosted at Bedfordview Athletics, 101 Van Buuren Avenue, Bedfordview at Virgin Active/Bedfordview Country Club.

Entries are open, register online now.
