The Germiston Bedfordview SPCA is calling on the community for assistance with their veterinary bill, and following a robbery on 11 July at their premises.
The animals and staff on site were not harmed and are safe. Two incidents of theft within a short amount of time have highlighted the organisation’s desperate need for assistance with securing the property to ensure the safety of animals and staff. They are appealing for donations towards security updates, broken windows and stolen items from their kitchen, such as two microwaves, a four plate stove/oven and food, meat etc. from their fridge and freezer.
Donations can be made directly to the society:

Since the Covid-19 virus outbreak in South Africa, they have seen a dramatic decline in donations and financial support. ‘We know these are tough times financially, and often our pockets are stretched far more than ever before. We are appealing to our supporters to assist us in paying our veterinary bill, every contribution will help and will be so very appreciated,’ the organisation stated.
Payment for the bill can be made to the details above, or if you wish to pay Witfield animal hospital directly, please use the reference: Germiston SPCA. Email your proof of payment to fundraising@spcagermiston.co.za
