Ethiopian Airlines and the Jack Ma Foundation are delighted to deliver the healthcare supplies to the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa.
The delivery of medical supplies donated by the foundation – through the initiative of Ethiopian Airlines’ Project Manager – began on 23 March 2020. Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to deliver the much-needed critical medical supplies and equipment in the global fight against the COVID-19 epidemic. As an indigenous and pioneer Pan African airline, Ethiopian Airlines has always stood together with Africans for the last seven decades, supporting the continent in good and challenging times.
In this unprecedented global pandemic, the airline will continue its commitment to the people of Africa, helping them fight and win this invisible enemy. ‘We appreciate the donation of the Jack Ma Foundation and the generosity of Jack Ma. We admire our Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed for his initiative and organisation of the entire coordination of the process,’ said Abel Alemu, Ethiopian Airlines Southern African Regional Manager.
