Winner & Mash, which was started by husband and wife, Chris and Ashley de Winnaar, is now open at Flamingo Shopping Centre in Modderfontein.
Offerings include: genuine handcrafted quality leather goods, glassware, chopping boards, olive oil gift sets, candles as well as 925 sterling silver and gold plated accessories. They believe in selling good quality products manufactured in South Africa. ‘We really try to source and sell unique products that support small, local businesses,’ said Chris de Winnaar.
‘Our heart and soul went into the design and feel of the store. We wanted to create a space where our customers’ senses come to life by using colour, textures and delicious smells from our gorgeous products. We want people to feel cosy, safe and comfortable as they shop,’ he added.
Three of de Winnaar’s favourite products from their range include: Amanda Jane scented candles because of their delicious smell, Reclaimed Oak chopping boards as they are repurposed from wine barrels in the Cape (you can literally still smell the wine) as well as the majority of their rings because they are all so incredibly different.
