On 14 November, the Senderwood, St Andrews and Bedford Park Ratepayer’s Association (SSB-RA) Committee will host a Family Movie Night at the Senderwood Park at 6:30pm where they will show Ratatouille – an entertaining movie that is suitable for all audiences.
One of the organisers, George Argyropoulos, said, ‘Masks must be worn at all times except for when sitting at the assigned table. All tables will be distanced.’
‘This event is one of several events that we want to have in the park. The park must be a place where residents and their families can get together to exercise, socialise and be entertained in a beautiful and safe environment. The movie night is the first of what we hope will be a series of screenings aimed at families and adult audiences. These functions assist us to raise funds, which we then invest in the maintenance of the park and our area,’ said Argyropoulos.
The cost for adults is R350 and children is R150. This includes soulva, potatoes and salad (adults), pizza or pasta and soft drink (children). Interested attendants can book a table (tables are limited).
They are also offering a ‘non-catered’ option, where families can bring their own picnic blankets and baskets or order from Mimmos. This entrance fee is R150 for adults and R75 for children.
