Need a few moves to warm you up this winter? Try this spine-supporting exercise, courtesy of Olga Rosenberg from Olinia Pilates.
I need a break from being upright and when I am on all fours, I feel that gravity helps my back to let go. I feel gravity supporting my spine by allowing the weight of my head, ribcage and pelvis to pull away and alleviate the pressure away from my vertebrae.
You will see how my whole torso and legs rotate to one direction and then to the other side. Allowing my chin to roll to my top shoulder and my bottom arm supports me and my top elbow moves upwards. This way of moving feels like I am massaging myself internally.
Tip: think of moving with ease and fluidity.
